Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
“I‘m having financial problems” “I dread going to work” “I’m having some serious health issues” “I found out that we can’t have kids” “I’m not sure if our marriage is going to last” “Life is getting harder” “My parents are driving me crazy” AND NOW you are saying to REJOICE IN THE LORD!? I can’t do that.
I get it. But this verse is saying not to rejoice in your circumstances BUT to rejoice IN THE Lord where you choose to trust in God’s goodness and his faithfulness, knowing that in Him you will find strength and comfort to handle your circumstances.
God is good. God is faithful. God loves you. God cares about you. Because of that we can rejoice. “I will say it again: Rejoice!”.
