Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
We have two grandkids and I love playing with them and watching them grow. I also enjoy watching my two adult kids being a mom and dad. They are really good parents. It is fun to see how they play, teach, guide and even discipline their young kids. They really are great parents. But there are times when their kids think otherwise.
The reactions that my grandkids give, especially their body language, when they are instructed to do something that they don’t want to do, is at times hilarious. They pout, cry, get frustrated, etc. What they don’t realize is that mom and dad are protecting them and wanting only the best for them. But as toddlers, they don’t understand the thoughts and ways of their adult parents.
We are so like my grandkids. When we don’t get our way or when “bad things happen” to us, we pout, we cry, we get frustrated and angry. BUT GOD…
But God, our heavenly Father only wants the best for us. His ways are always better. We need to remember that. As children of God, we need to remember that His thoughts and ways are not our thoughts and ways. We need to learn to ALWAYS TRUST GOD no matter how difficult it seems.
