John 14:6 Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
In the summer, prior to my senior year of high school, I took a job in Estes Park Colorado. I lived in Oregon. It was just over 1,200 miles that I had to drive to get to my Summer job. In order to get there, I had to get physical maps for Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Colorado to plan and direct my trip. It was quite the experience. If I planned that trip today, I would just plug in the destination and the map app would just tell me where to go. It would be easy.
Many people when they die plan to go to heaven to be with God our Father. They believe their “map” to heaven is by doing good things, being a good person. Some believe their “map” to heaven is by going to church every so often and even saying a prayer or two. But each of these planned routes will not take them to heaven.
There is only one way to heaven to be with God the Father. Jesus said, “I am the way…” Jesus is our “map”. He shows us the way and that way is through Him. .
