1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Satan is doing all he can to deceive, disrupt and destroy people’s lives. He is doing everything he can to exploit any weakness we have and to blind us to God’s truth. HE IS THE GREAT DECEIVER.
Be alert and be clear-minded / level-headed (sober mind) and don’t give in to the distractions and temptations that Satan throws at you. Be attentive to what you watch, what you read, what you hear, and who you hang out with. BE ALERT.
God is Truth (John 14:6, 8:32) and it’s impossible for Him to lie (Hebrews 6:18). So look to Him. Read His Word (Bible). Listen to what He has to say and hang out with Him.
