1 Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
God is good and He is good all the time. But for many of us we don’t see it that way. We see heartache, trouble, evil, catastrophe, and even death in our lives, as God not caring or failing. The reason we see those things is because our perspective – our filter – our lens is wrong. We need to view our life events through a “God Lens”.
“I lost my job.” In our view this is bad. God Lens = God has something else for me, a different job, and a better one.
“The hurricane severely damaged my home.” In our view this is bad. God Lens = I’m safe. My family is safe. Be a “light” to the neighbors.
James 1:2-4 says “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever your face trials of many kinds,” WHY? (RON) “because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
I don’t pretend to know all of the reasons why certain things happen BUT I know that GOD IS GOOD and that He loves me. For that I am grateful and I say “THANK YOU GOD.”
