-continued from WHO ARE YOU FOLLOWING? – PART 1-
This past week, Kim and I were helping Arlie and Cathy at their Dairy in North Florida. One evening, Arlie and Kim took the side-by-side and drove out to the pasture to lead the cows to another pasture that was greener and full of grass and water.
As I was watching them, I took this picture. If you look closely, the cows are following Arlie and Kim. Why did they do this? Because they trust their “Shepherd”…their “farmer”. The cows know Arlie. They know his voice. They know he will take care of them and they will follow him wherever he leads them.
When I saw this, Psalm 23 immediately came to my mind. What a beautiful word picture of Jesus as our Shepherd. Our farmer. Our guide. He will lead us and guide us.
