2 Kings 6:15-17 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked. “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Woohoo! I love this story because it displays two distinct perspectives: the 1) physical, and the 2) spiritual. The servant saw a physical army surrounding the entire city which probably meant certain death. BUT Elisha saw something totally different. Yes, he saw the physical army encircling the city, but he also saw the armies of God in the mountains above which meant CERTAIN VICTORY.
Today, many of us are like the servant. We see and we hear things, and believe that is “reality”. We believe the news. We believe the doctors. We believe our friends. We believe the podcasters. We believe because we see it in the natural.
BUT let me tell you that all that you see and hear may not be how it really is. There are things happening in the spiritual that are now manifesting in the physical.
We see and hear about war, tragedy, and death across the world. But did you know that thousands are seeing Jesus in their dreams and turning to Him. There are stories of hundreds getting healed in evangelistic services. There is LIFE happening. There is VICTORY happening. GOD IS AT WORK.
Our prayer needs to be “OPEN MY EYES LORD”.

If you get a chance, read this entire story (2 Kings 6:8-23). It is an incredible display of the power of our God.
