Psalm 4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
The other day I was checking on the fences and saw a recently born calf sleeping in the tall grass while her mom was eating next to her. The calf looked completely at peace, not a care in the world. The momma cow was taking good care of her baby by feeding her and standing guard while she slept.
Our Heavenly Father is like this momma cow – He provides and He protects us.
We need to be like the calf – by staying close to our provider and protector – our Heavenly Father. And when we do, we can sleep in peace because we know we are safe.
