DON’T BE AFRAID – GOD HAS THIS

Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

The answer to Psalm 27:1 is “Nobody”. David, who wrote much of the book of Psalms, through his experiences as a shepherd, a soldier, and as a king, whole heartedly believed that God was his stronghold – his light – his deliverer. The Bible has many historical stories of God protecting David.

Then in the last verse of Psalm 27 (vs14) David writes “Wait for the Lord; be strong and courageous. Wait for the Lord.” That was David’s answer -his resolve -his conclusion. To wait on God.

When we are afraid, many of us tend to act on our own – to take matters in our own hands. But what we really should do is what David did; to wait on the Lord and to be strong and courageous . Why? Because GOD HAS THIS.

  1. I drive by your messages everyday. I’m a believer in Jesus Christ and He is my Lord and Savior. Yesterday, when I drove by, I saw your barn has been destroyed. However, all your beautiful cows were scattered, laying peacefully in the sun, in the field and on the mound near where you post God’s Word. My heart was lifted!

Hurricane Milton has taken its mental toll on so many of us. Seeing your cows really blessed me as does your scriptures every day. Thank you.

    1. Thank you Stacy. The barns and fences took a beating but the cows and the rest of our family are all good. Following the storm, we checked on the cows and they were just chillin’ like nothing ever happened. God is so good. Hopefully, you and your family are all safe.
Thanks again for reaching out to us Stacy.
