1 Samuel 17:36-37 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine. Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”
This is the story about David and Goliath which can be found in 1 Samuel 17. Great story. In these verses, David (who most likely was a teenager) basically is telling the king not to worry about him because God will save him. And…God does rescue David.
From this story, we also learn that our heavenly Father, who we serve, is capable of defeating giants. These giants in our lives can be fear, marital issues, financial issues, depression, health issues and if we know God and His nature, we can step out in faith like David and conquer those giants.
To really know God you must spend time with Him in prayer and get to know Him through reading His Word (Bible). By doing this, your trust and faith will grow and soon you will be able stand, like David, and topple the giant.
I want to share a personal story that just happened to me….click here to read about it.
