Luke 12:15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
Many people have the “stuff-itis” disease. More is better. Newer is better. Bigger is better. But is it??
In the verse, Jesus warned this person who asked him to tell his brother to divide the inheritance with him. Jesus saw his heart and answered him by saying life is more than possessions.
Life is more than acquiring stuff. Jesus said in John 10:10 “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”. A full life is one that is found in knowing Jesus where you will find your true purpose.
Stop looking to “stuff” for happiness. True happiness (Joy) is found in Jesus.
