Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Kim and I have two kids…grown kids, Heather and Caleb. And now our oldest, Heather, is expecting and the newest addition to our family is expected to arrive the end of February. When Heather and her husband, Austin told us about the pregnancy a flood of memories came back to me of when she was a little girl.
I remember teaching and playing with Heather. Reading to her. Later as she entered grade school and then junior high, I remember coaching her in basketball and then how to drive a car. I always wanted the best for her and did not want here to get hurt so I carefully instructed and taught her.
Our Heavenly Father wants to do the same thing; to instruct and teach us.
But we need to spend time with Him. He loves us and wants the best for us.
“Father, I’m here. I’m listening. Show me. Teach me.”
